You can be a mind reader with this little bit of trickery. Have a paper bag, some index cards or slips of paper and a pencil ready. Announce to your audience you are going to write down a word and place it aside. Get a slip of paper and write down the work "GOLF". Don't let anyone see what you write but place it aside face down where everyone can keep their eye on it. Now tell the group you are going to try an experiment using something everyone has a love for Sports. " I will be asking you the names of your favorite sports and writing them down on these slips of paper". Now as people start naming different sports pretend you are writing them down but really each time write the word GOLF. As you finish drop each "word" into the paper bag. As you are writing them someone is bound to mention golf but keep on writing until you have 10-12 words. Now shake up the bag have some one reach in and take out a slip of paper. They read it out load "Golf" show your prediction that you wrote before any sport was called out.
This is an easy trick but quite the foolery.
